Family-Friendly Things to Do in Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau is often thought of as a destination for couples or cruise travelers, but it’s surprisingly family-friendly. Families love Ardastra Gardens & Wildlife Conservation Centre, where kids can meet flamingos and learn about the Bahamas’ unique animals. The Pirates of Nassau Museum is also a favorite, blending history with kid-friendly exhibits.

If your family enjoys the water, Aquaventure at Atlantis Resort is hard to beat. With water slides, a lazy river, and aquariums, it’s a full day of fun. For something more low-key, Blue Lagoon Island offers calm waters, dolphin encounters, and a safe environment for younger kids.

For families that like a mix of culture and relaxation, exploring the Queen’s Staircase followed by a few hours at Cable Beach is a perfect day. Nassau balances fun and history in a way that keeps all ages entertained. 🌊 For my full recommendations on family stays, food, and beaches, see my Nassau Destination Guide.
